Kumano,on the southern end of the Kie Peninsula in eastern Japan, is known for its historical roots, traditional hometown atmosphere, and healing hot springs. In our modern world, which is reached a dead end in so many areas of economics, government, education, and medicine, leaving us in search of "richness of heart", Kumano offers deep wisdom and strength, and gives us hope and courage. (There is currently a movement underway to have Kumano registered as an international treasure.)
The Institute of Holistic Psychology and Education (IHPE) is located
in the middle of Kumano, surrounded by mountains, in an old wooden
building that looks as if it could be part of a black-and-white movie
set.
Services are provided in many fields of psychology, social work, education,
and the arts. Through all of these, working together, we hope to build
a healthy and smiling community where the wisdom and abilities of each
individual are activated and everyone is healthy.
In addition to providing a home base for Tapping Touch, we look forward
with all of you to seeing the seeds of Tapping Touch bear fruit around
the world.
